In the twenty years or so since I started to get serious again about making music playing guitar, there have been a lot of changes (excuse me) in the world, my life, and the music business. The business has gotten more difficult for professional musicians to reach a stable financial position, and opportunities for performing have become dear. It wan't so easy in the 1970's, but one thing remains the same--complaining about it doesn't help.
This site is "under construction,' and will never be perfect--I promise you. Thanks for visiting. I hope you enjoy or can use some of the materials and suggestions it provides.
There are a few tracks from my earlier efforts to get back in playing shape, from 2000-2005--mostly solo or multitrack duet recordings of standards with me on both sides.
The links to DeMarjon Trio's web offerings provide a more up to date version of my playing with Jon Rich (vocals) and Mark Spiegel (piano). We are always looking for gigs, so I encourage you to help spread the
word and pass the links to any interested folk.
Mark and I also play as a duo act, guitar and bass. There will be tracks from our efforts as well.
A blog, or two, about my practice efforts and favorite recordings of the great artists who inspire me to play may be of interest to some.
A few words about equipment and accessories employed.
It will never be a thing of beauty, so why not inflict it on the web viewing populace and feel the pressure to make improvements on a regular basis?
